  • Kroch Library Asia Collections

    The Echols Collection is a joint undertaking of Cornell University, the library, and the Southeast Asia Program. In the 1960s, the Library of Congress began an Overseas Acquisitions Program. As its contribution to this national effort, Cornell agreed to acquire a copy of every publication of research value produced in the countries of Southeast Asia.

  • SEALC-GETSEA Virtual Language Institute

    The Southeast Asian Language Council (SEALC) and the Graduate Education and Training in Southeast Asian Studies (GETSEA) consortia launched the SEALC-GETSEA Virtual Language Institute. The goal of this institute is to increase the visibility of accessible SEA language courses during the academic year for students nationwide, and in so doing support member institutions’ SEA language programs and the long-term viability of SEA studies in the United States.

  • The Southeast Asia Digital Library (SEADL)

    The Southeast Asia Digital Library (SEADL) exists to provide educators, students, scholars and members of the general public with a wide variety of materials published or otherwise produced in Southeast Asia. Drawn largely from the collections of universities and scholars in this region, SEADL contains digital facsimiles of books and manuscripts, as well as multimedia materials and searchable indexes of additional Southeast Asian resources.

  • Asian American Critical Consciousness Project

    The Asian American Critical Consciousness Project is an introductory resource that presents key critical theories, concepts, and historical and contemporary examples from Asian American Studies. It is designed for individuals with no prior exposure to the field. The objective is to raise the critical consciousness of individuals who engage with the resources in this project through critical reflection and critical action.

  • Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL)

    Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) connects students and professors in different countries for collaborative projects and discussions as part of coursework. These collaborations offer a flexible, minimal-cost option for bringing Southeast Asia-based students and faculty into New York classrooms, and New York-based students to Southeast Asia.

  • SEALC-GETSEA Language Tuition Support

    With support from the Henry Luce Foundation, The Southeast East Asian Language Council (SEALC) and The Graduate Education and Training in Southeast Asian Studies (GETSEA) consortium awards financial assistance to students who incur tuition fees when studying a Southeast Asian language via synchronous distance learning during the academic year at an institution other than their home institution.
